2 November 2023 - Dunman High School Singapore Visits HKUGA College

On 2nd November, College hosted a whole-day visit from Dunman High School (65 Year 2 students and 10 teachers) in Singapore. The exchange revolved around Sustainable Development with discussions on farming issues in China and waste management policies in Japan and Hong Kong. Meanwhile, Dunman High students were immersed in various lessons with our S2 and S3 students, including the senior form assembly on rousing Jeopardy competition hosted by English Department.

In the afternoon, Singaporean students were split into small groups rotating between different experience checkpoints planned by the college students across the campus. Each checkpoint connects with one particular Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) through a hands-on task, namely environmental protection, digital disparity, quality education and cultural conservation. The overall program was very well-received, which not only gives a fulfilling learning experience for the students of both sides, but provides a valuable opportunity for them to bond with each other.
