13-14 May 2024 - CS Subject Day

13 - 14 May 2024
Academic

The CS Subject Day this year celebrated the rich tapestry of traditional Chinese cultures and the remarkable diversity of people in Hong Kong.

Our S1 students organized game booths to promote inclusivity in our society. With enthusiasm and lively game delivery, they showcased how Hong Kong could foster a more inclusive environment for the elderly, people with physical disabilities and ethnic minorities. They also enlightened their schoolmates on advocating inclusiveness.

In addition, our S3 students created an immersive experience that allowed participants to experience life in poverty and understand what living on a tight budget looks like. They shed light on the challenges and inequalities faced by people in poverty and promoted a more compassionate society.

Our students also created interactive experiences to promote Chinese traditional cultures. Those who embarked on the Chengdu tour shared their cultural learnings. Through interactive games and informative exhibitions, they highlighted Sichuan's traditional cuisine, the "Bian Lian" face-changing performances and the historical significance of different sites in Sichuan. Our S5 students promoted the recent achievements in the Belt and Road initiatives through meticulously designed board games and card games.

The CS Subject Day allowed students to learn about the vibrant tapestry of traditional Chinese cultures in Hong Kong, as well as the diversity and richness brought by people with different backgrounds in our society to cultivate a better understanding of citizenship.
