12 September 2018 – The University of Cambridge & Prince Philip Scholarship

Dr. Stuart Martin gave an informative talk on Cambridge applications, painting a fine picture of life at the prestigious University of Cambridge. He gave us basic information about the application procedures and the possibilities of tests and interviews for specific subjects. It was quite important for us to speak to an official from the university, since online material about application procedures can be quite confusing.

Cambridge has an interesting college system, which is unique even among UK universities. In their system, students apply directly to one of the many colleges in Cambridge, and it is there they will spend most of their time while they complete their studies.

Overall, it was an honour to have a professor to inform us personally. Hearing from someone with so much experience at the university allowed us to understand more about college life in the UK and life at the University of Cambridge in particular, and it helped us better prepare for the possibility of overseas study after secondary school.
