Invitation to Third Annual General Meeting

Dear Parents and teachers,

We are pleased to announce that the Third Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) of our Parent-Teacher Association (“PTA”) will be held on 15 May 2010 (Saturday) at 2:00 p.m. at the School Assembly Hall on 3rd Floor.  Registration of attendance will begin at 1:30 p.m.  All parents of current pupils and teachers of HKUGA College are cordially invited to attend the event.  Attached please find a Notice for the AGM and a Rundown of the events on that day for your information.

On that day, we welcome seven (7) new Ordinary Members to the Standing Committee.  Their missions to PTA have been expressed in attached 2-page Candidate Profiles.

Other than the appointment of Standing Committee Members for PTA Standing Committee (2010/2012), an election process for a new Parent Manager for 2010/2011 and propose resolutions to amend the PTA’s Constitution will also take place. 

Attached please find the following documents for your information and prompt action:

PTA Standing Committee Members:

• Candidate’s Profile (2-page) containing details of seven (7) parents who will become new Standing Committee Members and their mission to PTA

Parent Manager for IMC:

• Candidate’s Profile (Mr. Stephen Ko Kwong Yan, 1-page) (Mr. Jeffery Pak Hay Ming, 1-page),
• Serial-coded Ballot Paper (1-page)
• Directions for Voting (1-page)

Your special attention is drawn to the following:

1. If you are unable to attend the AGM on 15 May 2010 but would like to vote, please complete the following documents and return them, via your children, by depositing them before 5:00 p.m. on 14 May 2010 in the Collection Box placed at the entrance of the General Office:

• The White Proxy Form appointing your proxy to vote on the resolutions,
• The Green Ballot Paper for election of the Parent Manager (Please refer to the relevant Directions for Voting)

2. If you would opt to give up your voting right on the Parent Manager, please return the green Ballot Paper (in blank form) in same manner as described in 1) above.

3. If you are attending the event on 15 May 2010, please remember to bring the Ballot Paper with you to the meeting.

As a highlight of the event, we have invited a well renowned speaker, Mr Charles Yu, to speak on the topic of “Have Your Heart Set on the Teenagers” “進入少年心”.  A note on Mr Charles Yu’s talk is also attached.
