We will miss our friends…...

Mr. Andrew Poon Chun-shing

Mr. Andrew Poon, a member of the Executive Committee of the Foundation, passed away in September. It was sad news to all who knew him.

Mr. Poon graduated from The University of Hong Kong, and subsequently worked in the field of education for over 30 years.  Having worked as a teacher in a government secondary school for 12 years, Mr. Poon joined the Education Department and retired as Principal Assistant Secretary for Education in charge of the Quality Assurance Division.

Soon after he retired in 2006, Mr. Poon joined the Foundation and served also as a member or convenor of the School Affairs Sub-Committee and several taskforces or working groups. He provided valuable opinions on the development of the Primary School and the College.

Mr. Ronald Fung Leung-lo

Mr. Ronald Fung, a Founding Member of the Foundation, passed away at the age of 55 on 11 October, 2008.

Mr. Fung had rendered eager support for the education development in Hong Kong and the Mainland, and had been one of our members since the Foundation’s establishment in 2000.  He was a well-known writer and host to TV programs.  In 1999, he was elected District Councillor of Wanchai.

Mrs. Anna Fung appeals for donation in lieu of flowers in Ronald’s funeral on November 8, with the Foundation as the beneficiary. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Anna for her kind support to the Foundation.
